Don Dodge

VP, Research at Calmont Wire & Cable

Don has been with Calmont for 33 years, starting out as Chief Engineer. Don started in the wire and cable industry after leaving the Army in 1969. He began at Pacific Electricord as Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor, then moved up to Quality Control Manager, and finally became Chief Engineer. Over the years, he has designed many ultra-flexible cables for military, medical, and aerospace applications. Don is a respected thought leader in the industry, having presented papers on aerospace, medical, and robotic applications for wires and cables, in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Don holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics and a master’s degree in Business Administration. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Society of Automotive Engineers, has acted as Chairman of the Flexible Cords Technical Committee of NEMA, and served as Chairman of the US Delegation for IEC SC20B for Wires and Cables.
