Dan Mueller

Dan Mueller is an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in strategic sourcing and capital project procurement. Currently serving as the Director of Strategic Procurement at Calpine since July 2010, Dan oversees procurement for major equipment, manages a team responsible for engineering services and plant support for a fleet of 137 gas turbines, and leads commercial negotiations for key projects. Prior to this role, Dan held positions at NRG Energy as Project Procurement Manager, overseeing significant projects like the AQCS project for the Indian River coal plant and the Cedar Bayou 4 combined cycle plant, and at Bayer MaterialScience as a Procurement Specialist. Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Texas A&M University.
