Debra Frimerman

Debra Frimerman is an experienced corporate lawyer who currently serves as General Counsel at Calyxt. Debra has previously served as Associate General Counsel at Syngenta and as a corporate lawyer at both Stoel Rives LLP and Lindquist & Vennum.

Frimerman has a wealth of experience advising corporate leaders on commercial transactions, M&A, technology licensing, regulatory strategies, litigation, and compliance. Debra has also helped businesses consolidate and strengthen during difficult economic times, such as the 2008 recession and early years of recovery.

Frimerman is known for their high-level client contact and ability to lead complex corporate finance deals. Debra has successfully completed over 20 securities offerings, ranging from seed capital to $100 million in primary financing.

In their current role as General Counsel at Calyxt, Frimerman is responsible for providing legal advice and support to the company on a variety of issues. Debra is an experienced and trusted advisor who is able to provide sound legal advice on a wide range of topics.

Debra Frimerman received a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Minnesota Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from UC Santa Barbara.
