Chandra Sekhar Polavarapu has a strong background in software engineering and development. Chandra sekhar currently holds the position of Principal Software Engineer at Cambridge Mobile Telematics, starting in 2022. Prior to this, Chandra worked at Cognizant from 2018 to 2022, where they held roles as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer. During their time at Cognizant, they developed robust and scalable microservices, utilized Java 8 and Vert.X framework, and implemented behavioral driven test cases using Cucumber.
Before Cognizant, Chandra worked at ADTech Corp in 2018 as a Software Developer, where they integrated Alexa skills in business applications and developed middle layer server-less applications using Node.js and AWS Lambda.
In 2016, Chandra worked as a Graduate Software Developer/Assistant at Western Kentucky University, where they developed a code optimization tool for evaluating coding standards and efficiency for students. Chandra sekhar also developed an application called "Food Finder" for local restaurants that provided users with menu comparisons based on price, calories, distance, and ratings.
Chandra also gained experience as a Tableau Developer at Western Kentucky University, where they updated the alumni database and developed BI charts.
Earlier in their career, Chandra worked as a Student Worker at Aramark in 2015, maintaining daily records of food service outlets and ensuring controlled food production.
Chandra sekhar also had an internship as a Software Engineer at Bluemea Therapeutics Pvt. Ltd in 2014, implementing features using VB.Net.
In terms of leadership experience, Chandra was an Executive Board Member at ISTE from 2014 to 2015, leading a national-level symposium and managing a team responsible for graphic designing and event publicity.
Lastly, they worked as a Designer at IEEE from 2013 to 2015. Overall, Chandra has a diverse and extensive background in software engineering and leadership roles.
Chandra Sekhar Polavarapu obtained a Diploma in Information Technology from Andhra University in 2012. From 2012 to 2015, they pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Chandra sekhar then went on to earn a Master's degree in Computer Science from Western Kentucky University between 2015 and 2018.
In 2018, Chandra Sekhar achieved an additional certification as an Apigee Certified Professional API Engineer from Apigee.
Chandra sekhar continued their education and pursued an Executive Master's degree in Information Technology at the University of the Cumberlands from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they are working towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Technology at the University of the Cumberlands, which they started in 2022 and is expected to complete by 2025.
