David Murphy

David Murphy is an accomplished educational leader currently serving as the Interim Superintendent of Schools at Cambridge Public Schools since January 2023. Prior to this role, David held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Medford Public Schools from 2020 to 2023 and served as Assistant Superintendent for Operations and Finance during that time. David's career also includes experience as a Strategic Planning Adviser at Lowell Public Schools and Deputy Superintendent/Chief of Staff/Labor Counsel at Boston Public Schools. Additionally, David was active with the Attleboro School Committee as Chairman and a member from 2012 to 2016. Academic qualifications include a Juris Doctor degree from Boston College Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Fordham University.
