Tom McDermott has over 35 years of experience in the finance, payments, and consumer services industries. Thomas (Tom) began their career in 1983 as an Advertising Media & Account Executive at DFS & SSC&B LINTAS, where they worked with Unilever, Procter & Gamble, and General Mills. Thomas (Tom) then moved to Nabisco in 1986 as a Brand Manager for Breakfast Cereals. In 1989, they joined Reckitt Benckiser as a General Manager of Sales & Marketing. In 2001, Tom joined Western Union (First Data Corp) as the Senior Vice President of the Americas, where they were responsible for a $1 billion P&L for the International Money Transfer Remittance business. Thomas (Tom) then moved to Capital One in 2007 as the General Manager of HealthCare Finance (Patient Financing). In 2009, Tom founded Money Access Financial, an advisory business that helps emerging and middle market companies with strategy, execution and raising debt and equity capital. In 2013, Tom became the Chief Commercial (Revenue) Officer at Borro, an industry pioneer & fast-growing secured lending platform. Finally, in 2016, Tom joined Cambridge Wilkinson as the Managing Director, providing a full suite of investment banking services.
Tom McDermott has a BS in Business Administration from Boston College, where they graduated Magna Cum Laude. Prior to that, they attended Archbishop Stepinac High School. Thomas (Tom) also holds two certifications from FINRA, the Series 63 and Series 79.
