Derek Campbell

Engineering Director at CamelBak

Derek Campbell has a diverse and extensive work experience. Derek started their career at Battelle as a Project Manager in 1998 and eventually moved to CamelBak as a Senior Project Engineer in 2001. In 2004, they joined Brooks Sports as a Sr. Manager - Future Concepts and remained in this role until 2011. Following this, Derek joined The North Face as a Director of Global Product Innovation in 2011, before transitioning to CamelBak & Jimmy Styks SUP as a Sr. Director of Product Development in 2017. Derek then became the Engineering Director at CamelBak Products in 2012. Most recently, Derek serves as the Director of Footwear Innovation at Brooks Running since February 2021.

Derek Campbell earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington. Derek attended this institution from 1989 until 1994. Subsequently, between the years 1995 and 1998, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering at Colorado State University.
