Dog Behaviorist at Camp Run-A-Mutt

Ashley Ruiz is a dedicated individual with extensive experience in animal behavior and research. Currently serving as a Research Volunteer at the Florida Fish & Wildlife Research Institute since September 2022, Ashley monitors camera traps and enters scientific data into a database. Concurrently, Ashley works as a Dog Behaviorist at Camp Run-A-Mutt, ensuring a safe environment for dogs while communicating their behaviors to customers. Previous roles include a Hostess at the World Equestrian Center, where Ashley contributed to policy development and staff training, and a President of the High School Marine Biology Club, managing aquarium maintenance and project planning. Earlier volunteer experience includes work at the U.S. Geological Survey, focusing on creating and maintaining cultures for research. Ashley Ruiz is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Florida, building on an Associate of Science in Biology from the College of Central Florida.
