Michael Ortega

Michael Ortega is a Legal Fellow at Campaign Legal Center since September 2023. Prior to this role, Michael served as a Staff Law Clerk at the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit from August 2021 to August 2023. Michael also worked as a Voter Protection Legal Fellow at Biden for President and as a Voting Rights Intern at Lawyers Committee. Additionally, Michael has experience as a Summer Law Clerk at the City of Chicago Department of Law, Legal Counsel Division, and as a Legal Intern at Campaign Legal Center. Michael holds a Doctor of Law - JD from the University of Chicago Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Miami.
