Karen Xu

Karen Xu is an accomplished server and photography editor with diverse experience in hospitality, education, and media. Currently working at Sedona Taphouse as a server and hostess since December 2022, Karen also serves as the photography editor for The Chronicle, coordinating news photography coverage. Additional roles include substitute teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools, student circulation assistant at Duke University Libraries, and president of Duke Athletic Bands, where leadership and organization skills were demonstrated. Upcoming fellowships include participation in the Southern Education Leadership Initiative and previous experience includes working as a reporting intern at Loudoun Now. Karen is pursuing a degree at Duke University, continuing a strong commitment to academic and professional growth.
