Denis Zhmakin

Denis Zhmakin is an experienced project manager and system engineer at Camtek since 2021, overseeing multi-disciplinary R&D projects while leading multifunctional teams. Prior experience includes serving as a senior R&D engineer at Edwards Lifesciences from 2018 to 2021, where Denis focused on the design and development of a unique aortic valve delivery system and facilitated its transfer to mass production. At Elbit Systems Ltd from 2015 to 2018, Denis worked as an R&D engineer, contributing to the design and development of a prototype howitzer for the IDF and a high-impact platform for 155mm artillery. Earlier, from 2012 to 2015, Denis held the position of mechanical design engineer at KLA, engaging in the complete mechanical development cycle for optical metrology systems. Denis holds a Master of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
