Alan Townsend

Alan Townsend has a diverse work experience in the insurance and reinsurance industries, spanning over three decades. Alan is currently the Chief Underwriting Officer (P&C) at Canada Life Reinsurance since October 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an Advisor for their self-named company, Alan Townsend, from October 2018 to October 2020. Alan served as a Director at Logic Reinsurance from June 2006 to September 2018. Before that, they held the position of Senior Vice President at Centre Reinsurance from January 1995 to January 2004. Alan started their career as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG in October 1990 and worked there until January 1995.
