Heather Logan has extensive work experience in roles related to healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
Heather is currently the Vice President of Strategic Relationships and Initiatives at CADTH (Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health) since January 2023.
Prior to this, they held the position of Executive Strategy Lead at CADTH starting from October 2020. Heather also served as the Senior Advisor for Pharmaceutical Reviews at CADTH from January 2019 to October 2020, during which they led strategic initiatives and projects of national significance. Heather briefly held the position of Acting Vice President for Pharmaceutical Reviews at CADTH from February 2018 to January 2019.
Before joining CADTH, from 2012 to 2020, they worked as an Independent Healthcare Consultant.
From 2010 to 2018, Heather served as the Executive Director of the Canadian Association of Provincial Cancer Agencies. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing a five-year strategic plan. Additionally, they led a multi-province procurement effort and worked on addressing drug funding sustainability in cancer care.
Heather also has experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having worked as the National Clinic Manager at Hoffman-La Roche from June 2011 to March 2012.
Heather began their career at the Canadian Cancer Society in 1999, where they held various roles including Senior Director, Director, and Manager. In these positions, they served as a national media spokesperson and led initiatives in cancer control, resulting in a North American consensus statement and enhanced public messaging. Heather managed teams responsible for maintaining consistent messaging and brand across print publications, a bilingual cancer encyclopedia, and web-based information. Their tenure at the Canadian Cancer Society lasted until 2009.
Heather Logan completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from the University of Toronto between 1987 and 1991. Heather later pursued higher education and obtained a Master's degree in Health Sciences (MHSc) with a focus on Management and Healthcare from the University of Toronto during the period of 2002 to 2004.
