Donald McTavish

Donald McTavish is a Senior Systems Engineer at Canadensys Aerospace Corporation since September 2019, previously serving as a Senior Project Engineer at Gedex Inc from April 2012 to August 2019, and as a Senior Engineer specializing in Controls and Systems at MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates (MDA) Space Missions from 2008 to 2012, where involvement included the Next Generation Canadarm Project. Prior academic experience includes ten years as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Ryerson University. Donald's early career comprised a role as Senior Research Engineer at Dynacon Enterprises from 1992 to 1999. Educational achievements include a PhD in Aerospace Engineering and a Master of Applied Science from the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS), as well as a Bachelor of Education in Math and Physics from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. Additionally, Donald holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science (Aerospace) from the University of Toronto.
