George Atsidakos, P.Eng, NCSO, is a seasoned marine engineer with extensive experience in naval architecture and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Marine Engineering Project Officer at the Canadian Coast Guard, George is responsible for the Vessel Life Extension Program, ensuring vessels meet Transport Canada’s safety and reliability standards. Previous roles include Engineering Project Manager at Heddle Shipyards, HSE at EllisDon, and various positions in yacht management and naval architecture, including tenure with the Hellenic Navy. George holds a Master's Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and additional certifications in yacht surveying and firefighting.
