Ramiro Avendaño

Ramiro Avendaño is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as Presidente-Socio at Canal 1 since October 2018, Ramiro has previously held the position of Presidente at EL HERALDO S.A. from July 2016 to October 2018. Between September 2012 and August 2016, Ramiro was Vice President for Latin America North and General Manager at Brightstar Corp. Notable roles also include Commercial Director at Telefonica and Partner - Business Development Vice President at Transcom. Ramiro began the career at Millicom International Cellular, serving in various commercial leadership roles, and also worked as a consultant at Diamond Cluster Consulting. Ramiro holds an MBA from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, completed a CEOs Program at Universidad de Los Andes, and a diploma in Management and Entrepreneurship from The London School of Economics and Political Science. Additionally, Ramiro earned a degree in Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
