Sara Matson

Sara Matson has over 20 years of experience in the field of development and grants. Sara has held various roles throughout their career, including Chief Development Officer at Canal Alliance, Director of Development at Canal Alliance and Independent Consultant, Development Manager at Zen Hospice Project, Institutional Giving Manager at George Mark Children's House and Glide Foundation, and Interim Director of Business and Operations/Development Director at A Home Away From Homelessness. Sara's earlier experience includes working as a Development Specialist at The Exploratorium, Development Associate at Bay Area Coalition for Equitable Schools, and Development Director at Habitat for Humanity San Francisco. Sara began their career as a Research Associate for Cardiac Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco.

Sara Matson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry, which they obtained from Drake University. Sara also attended the Revere Goldsmithing Academy from 1997-1998, where they studied metalsmithing and gemology. Prior to that, they pursued a B.A. degree in Art with an emphasis on Painting and Graphic Design at the University of Iowa from 1994-1996. Additionally, they studied Immunology at the University of Iowa from 1991-1995.
