Patrick Smith

Patrick Smith, AIC, FCLA has extensive experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on claims management. Patrick has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

From 2001 to 2007, Patrick worked at Infinity Insurance as a Special Investigator and Claims Representative.

In 2007, they joined Georgia Farm Bureau as the Senior Manager of Automobile/Casualty Claims. In this role, they oversaw multiple departments and was responsible for aligning processes and exceeding department goals. Patrick held this position until 2015.

Since 2015, Patrick has been working at Canal Insurance Company. Patrick started as a Senior Claims Representative, where they managed commercial liability losses, assessed coverage, and oversaw litigation and settlement outcomes. In 2017, they became the Liability Claims Team Manager, and in 2019, they were promoted to Manager of Claims Shared Services. In this role, they led the development and execution of claim strategies, managed the claims call center, and handled vendor management. In 2020, they were promoted to the position of Director of Property Lines & Claims Operations, where they currently oversee various aspects of claims operations.
