Michael Shubert

Michael Shubert, CSP, is a seasoned safety professional with extensive experience in corporate safety management. Currently serving as the Director of Corporate Safety at Canam Steel Corporation since December 2023, Michael previously held the position of Corporate Safety Manager at EVAPCO, Inc. from March 2022 to December 2023. Michael's career includes significant roles such as Safety and Health Manager at Volvo Group and Safety and Health Specialist at Montgomery County Government, where a strong emphasis was placed on program development to reduce workplace illnesses and injuries. Michael began the career as a Safety Health and Environmental Engineer at Hughes Network Systems. Michael earned a degree in Occupational Safety and Hygiene Management from Millersville University of Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing a Master of Science at Columbia Southern University.
