Rick Gustafson

Rick Gustafson has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Rick started their career at Continental Airlines as a Customer Service Representative, where they resolved customer issues regarding reservations and ticketing.

In 1995, they joined EDS as a Voice Technician and later became a Help Desk/Level 3 Desktop Tech. In this role, they provided technical support and resolved complex issues for co-workers, especially VIP level executives.

In 2001, Rick moved to Maxtor as a SAP Security Specialist, responsible for administering security in Maxtor's SAP R/3 landscape. Rick performed yearly SAP user audits and managed access for over 1800 production users.

From 2004 to 2006, they worked as a System Administrator at IBM Global Services - Pomeroy IT Services, where they handled user ID administration for various systems, including Active Directory and Exchange.

From 2007 to 2013, Rick worked at Seagate Technology, initially as an IT/Desktop Sr Analyst and later as an IT Manager. Rick managed desktop operations, including incidents, service requests, and hardware resolution. Rick also managed server operations for Windows, Linux, and VMWare environments.

In 2018, Rick joined CANarchy Craft Brewery Collective as an IT Manager and later became the Technology Director. Rick was responsible for IT strategy, architecture, project management, and daily operations for all breweries, brewpubs, and taprooms. Rick provided hands-on support for computer systems, software, networking, and network security.

Currently, Rick is working as the Vice President of Information Technology at CANarchy Craft Brewery Collective. Rick oversees IT strategy, architecture, project management, and daily IT operations, including support for Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and Dell servers.

Rick Gustafson's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Colorado State University Global, which they obtained between 2014 and 2018. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in EET from ITT Technical Institute, completing their studies from 1991 to 1993.

In addition to their formal education, Rick has also obtained several certifications. Rick received the "What Are Your Blind Spots? (getAbstract Summary)" certification from LinkedIn in May 2020. Furthermore, they became a certified Unifi Routing and Switching Specialist from Ubiquiti Networks in December 2018. Lastly, Rick achieved the HDI Desktop Support Manager certification from HDI in January 2015.
