Maciej Szelazek

Maciej Szelazek has a diverse range of work experience. Maciej most recently served as the Chief Product Officer at Smartfrog&Canary (canary.is) starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Group VP Product Management from July 2020 to October 2022 at the same company.

Before joining Smartfrog&Canary, Szelazek worked as the Director of Product Management at the company from April 2019 to July 2020. Prior to that, they were a Senior Product Manager from November 2016 to April 2019.

Szelazek also has experience outside of the tech industry. Maciej was an MBA student at Cornell Tech from May 2015 to May 2016, where they worked on special projects including co-founding a start-up called apollo and providing business consultancy services for two Israeli start-ups.

Earlier in their career, Szelazek worked at MasterCard from June 2013 to May 2015, where they served as a Product Lead in Global Product Development and later as a Program Manager in Global Digital Marketing.

Maciej also gained experience as a Creative at Jordan Anderson Advertising from March 2009 to July 2010, where they designed and created web pages and microsites for clients.

Prior to that, Szelazek worked as the Head Operations Monitor at Coles Sports and Recreation Center from September 2006 to August 2009, overseeing basic desk reservations and transactions.

Maciej started their career as a Product Intern at ResearchEdge in July 2008, where they performed research and assisted in the creation of a New Product Development Process.

Szelazek also gained early experience as an Intern at Nabbr.com from June 2008 to August 2008, where they input data, contacted clients, and generated HTML widget code.

Maciej Szelazek completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Media, Culture, and Communications from New York University from 2005 to 2009. Maciej later pursued further education at the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Technology from 2015 to 2016.
