Anne R. Diers has a strong background in cancer biology research, starting as a Research Assistant at the University of Iowa in 2002. Anne R. then continued their research career at the University of Alabama at Birmingham as a Graduate Student, focusing on the regulation of redox signaling in breast cancer. After that, Anne joined the Medical College of Wisconsin as a Postdoctoral Fellow, where they linked mitochondrial metabolism to cancer proliferation and identified new inhibitors for monocarboxylate transporters. Anne R. then moved to BERG Health, where they held roles as a Senior Scientist, Principal Scientist, and Associate Director in oncology research. Currently, Anne is Senior Director of Research at Candel Therapeutics.
Anne R. Diers earned a B.S. with Honors in Psychology and a Minor in French from the University of Iowa in 2004. Anne R. later obtained their Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Pathology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham between 2005 and 2010.
