Brigitte Junker

Brigitte Junker is an experienced professional specializing in business development and government affairs, currently serving as the Business Development and Government Affairs Manager at Candela since May 2022. Prior to this role, Brigitte worked as a Policy Advisor in Trade and Human Rights at the European Union Delegation to Myanmar from May 2019 to June 2022 and was self-employed as a Programme Manager focused on the African Union from September 2017 to April 2019. Brigitte’s extensive background includes serving as a Programme Manager at the Swedish Embassy, where responsibilities included coordinating Sweden's support to the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa from August 2013 to August 2017. Additional experience includes various roles at the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and ORGUT Consulting AB, managing evaluations and projects related to international development. Brigitte holds a Lic Phil 1 degree in Social Anthropology, Public Health, and Education from the University of Zurich and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Franklin & Marshall College.
