Chris started his career at City of Wolverhampton Council in 2007 where he trained as an accountant and qualified with CIPFA. It was a time when the council was actively modernising and transforming its services, and delivery to residents. Chris was involved across a number of areas including housing, year-end accounts and economic regeneration. He left Wolverhampton to further his career joining Herefordshire Council to work in the corporate finance team. After this he took the opportunity to join Redditch and Bromsgrove councils which had completed a full sharing of almost all council services with the exception of housing as only Redditch had a Housing Revenue Account. There he progressed to become the Deputy s151 Officer for both councils. Most recently he was the Chief Financial Officer and Section 151 at Calderdale Council in West Yorkshire.
