Thijs van Stiphout has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Thijs has worked at Canon Production Printing as a Business Support Engineer/Lead in Research & Development, where they are the interface between R&D and customers, focusing on supporting business and customers, as well as leading customization projects. Thijs has also served as a Portfolio Manager, working on strengthening the competitive positioning of a cut sheet printer and developing the product roadmap. Thijs van Stiphout has experience in inkjet technology and has worked as a Micro Process Lead at both Canon Production Printing and Océ - A Canon Company. Additionally, they have experience in event organizing, serving as a Band Manager for REPOP, and organizing numerous small to medium-sized events. Thijs van Stiphout has also held roles at Rabobank Meierij & Maashorst as a Supervisory Board member and Chair of the Members Council, and at Rabobank Uden Veghel as a member of the Members Council. Thijs has a background in laboratory work and has conducted research projects, including a graduation project on liquid absorption in porous paper and an internship on NMR transverse relaxation analysis of leather looseness.

- In 2014, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Applied Physics, also from Eindhoven University of Technology.
- In 2013, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Minor Finance & Risk from Eindhoven University of Technology.
- Thijs'spre-university education was at Zwijsen College, where they completed VWO Atheneum in the field of Nature and Science.
- In 2021, they attended the Governance Academy to obtain certification as a certified commissioner.
Additionally, they hold additional certifications for being an "Ambassador of the Energy Transition" from Rabobank (obtained in 2020) and for their Master of Science in Applied Physics and BSc in Applied Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology (obtained in 2016 and 2014 respectively).
