Johnny Kim

Johnny Kim currently serves as the Head of Energy and Construction for APAC & MENA at Canopius Group, a position held since June 2024. Previously, Johnny worked at KOREAN RE as part of the International Energy & Engineering Team, focusing on the US E&S Market and APAC RI. Prior experience includes roles as an Energy & Construction Underwriter at AIG and various positions at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd., including Underwriter in Engineering Lines. Additional experience encompasses risk engineering at DB Insurance Co., Ltd. and structural engineering at SYTEC ENGINEERING LTD. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, and architectural engineering and a Master's degree specializing in underground subspace and tunnel heat transfer mechanisms, both from Korea University.
