Matthew Antoniou

Matthew Antoniou is a seasoned treasury professional with extensive experience in multinational finance, currently serving as Group Head of Treasury at Canopius Group since October 2017, where responsibilities include redesigning and delivering an evolving treasury function. Prior to this role, Matthew was the European Treasurer at QBE Insurance, overseeing the integration of the European treasury division. Matthew's earlier experience includes positions such as Financial & Treasury Controller at Daimler Chrysler, Treasury Business Consultant at Trema-Consulting, and Head of Debt Capital Markets at Diageo, where a strong emphasis was placed on developing debt policies and enhancing treasury operations. Additional roles include Treasury Risk Analyst and Treasury Dealer at Grand Metropolitan and Lehman Brothers, respectively.
