Stephen Brown

Stephen Brown has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Stephen started their career as a Corporate & Company Pricing Analyst at Bupa in 1996 and then moved on to Bradford & Bingley as a Management Information Analyst. In 2001, they joined Travelers as an Underwriting Analyst in the Personal Lines department.

Stephen then transitioned to the insurance industry, working with Jubilee Managing Agency Limited in various roles, including Syndicate Business Analyst and Syndicate Business Analyst (5820). During their time at Jubilee, they were responsible for data analysis, reporting, and contributing to Solvency II projects.

In 2013, Stephen joined ANV as a Senior Syndicate Operations Analyst, where they supported migration projects and ensured regulatory compliance. Stephen then moved to WhiteOak Underwriting Agency Limited as an Underwriting Analyst and later joined Cathedral Capital Insurance Agency as a Business Analyst.

After that, Stephen worked at Kennedys as an Insight & Technical Analyst and later as an MI Manager - Data Warehouse & Reporting Analytics. In these roles, they contributed to various projects involving data analysis, development, and reporting.

In 2018, Stephen joined Canopius Group as an Underwriting Analyst.

Stephen Brown completed their education at the University of Hertfordshire, where they earned a BSc (Hons) in Statistics with Mathematics from 1990 to 1993. Prior to that, they attended Hedley Walter High School in Brentwood from 1983 to 1990, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for their high school education. Additionally, Stephen has obtained several certifications on various topics such as Power BI, overcoming self-doubt, improving self-confidence, managing overwhelm, and career planning, all from LinkedIn. The obtained certifications range from 2021 to 2022. Stephen also completed a course on Excel through LinkedIn in September 2021 and a course on sleep improvement in the same month.
