Jan Jette Blangé

Jan Jette Blangé has a diverse work experience in the field of well construction and technology. Jan Jette is currently the Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Canopus Drilling Solutions, where they lead the commercialization of innovative well construction technologies for the Oil & Gas and Geothermal industries. Their responsibilities include generating business cases, prototyping, and establishing commercial product lines. Their expertise covers rig automation systems, drilling assembly design and construction, directional drilling, and mud property control, among others.

Prior to their current role, Jan Jette worked at Shell Global Solutions for over two decades. Jan Jette started as a Team member in the Hard Rock Drilling team and later became a Project Lead for Jet Drilling. Jan Jette eventually became the Team Leader of Well Construction R&D, where they led a team in researching and developing new technologies for well construction.

Jan Jette Blangé began their career by completing a PhD in Physics at Utrecht University.

Jan Jette Blangé began their education in 1980 at Gemeentelijk Gymnasium Hilversum, where they completed their high school education. From 1986 to 1992, Jan Jette attended Utrecht University, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Physics.
