Head of Additive at Canopy Aerospace

Charlie Fuller has a diverse work experience in the aerospace and engineering industry. Charlie currently serves as the Head of Additive at Canopy Aerospace since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Relativity Space as an Additive Development Engineer II from January 2022 to April 2023. Charlie also worked as an Additive Development Engineer I at Relativity Space from March 2021 to January 2022.

Charlie's previous experience includes working as an Advanced Programs R&D Intern at Lockheed Martin from July 2020 to December 2020. Charlie was also an Additive Manufacturing Graduate Researcher at The ADAPT(SM) Consortium at Colorado School of Mines from August 2019 to December 2020.

Charlie gained valuable experience as an Additive Manufacturing R&D Intern at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory from April 2019 to July 2020. During this time, they assembled and tested a 500W YAG laser powder bed fusion metal 3D printing system, installed and tested a new in-situ diagnostic system, collected data from various sensors, and processed image data for publication.

Charlie's earlier roles include Lead Extraction Systems Engineer at Kobold Interplanetary Resources from August 2018 to May 2019, Dream Chaser Structural Test Engineering Intern at Sierra Nevada Corporation from May 2018 to August 2018, and Optical Asteroid Mining Student Researcher at Colorado School of Mines from February 2018 to May 2018. Charlie also has experience working as an Operations and Gear Technician at Bent Gate Mountaineering from September 2016 to October 2017, and as a Certified OEC technician at National Ski Patrol from December 2012 to April 2015.

Charlie obtained their Master of Science - MS (Thesis) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution in 2019.

Before attending the Colorado School of Mines, Charlie Fuller received their high school education at Bishop Kelly High School. Charlie earned their diploma from Bishop Kelly High School in 2015.

Additionally, Charlie Fuller has obtained several certifications. In December 2015, they earned the Solidworks Associate certification from Dassault Systèmes. More recently, in November 2020, they obtained the SolidWorks Professional - Mechanical Design certification from the same institution. In January 2021, Charlie Fuller received the Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from The Council for Six Sigma Certification.
