Tarik Safir

Tarik Safir has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as an Engineering Manager, AI at Canopy since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Ford Motor Company in various positions. From August 2021 to April 2022, they were an AI & Sensing Supervisor at Ford X. From March 2020 to December 2021, they served as the Technical Lead - Graduated Venture at Ford X. Before that, from December 2018 to March 2020, they were a Digital Prototyper at D-Ford, where they conducted interviews and research sessions with real customers to understand their needs. Tarik also synthesized user insights to develop product capabilities. In addition, Tarik worked as a Hybrid Systems Engineer from May 2018 to December 2018, where they focused on activities such as benchmarking competitor powertrains and conducting design verification tests. Tarik also worked as a Digital Innovation - Solution Developer from September 2017 to May 2018, contributing to projects involving new technology and developing machine learning solutions. Prior to their time at Ford, Tarik was a Student at The University of Manchester, where they graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Aerospace Engineering with Industrial Experience. During their time at the university, they worked as the chief engineer for a design project involving an unmanned glider. Tarik also completed a year-long business placement as a Digital Innovation Business Placement Student at Ford Motor Company from September 2015 to August 2016, where they collaborated with various teams and centers on CAD assemblies and issue resolution for the Ford Transit.

Tarik Safir received their Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Manchester. Tarik attended the university from 2012 to 2017.
