Kara Seers

Kara Seers is an experienced health professional currently serving as a Health Protection Officer and Health Promoting Schools Facilitator at Te Whatu Ora Waitaha Canterbury since September 2017. Prior to this role, Kara held positions such as Mental Health and Addictions Senior Advisor at Homecare Medical New Zealand and Professional Practice Fellow at the University of Otago. Kara's background includes volunteer work as a Counselor with Youthline CSI and a Mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Christchurch. Kara has also contributed to academic settings as a Course Tutor and Programme Evaluation Contractor. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Health from the University of Otago, along with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience.
