Simon Richards

Simon Richards is a highly qualified colorectal and general surgeon with extensive experience in various medical institutions. Currently serving at Christchurch Colorectal and Te Whatu Ora Waitaha Canterbury since July 2024 and May 2023 respectively, Simon also holds the position of Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Otago. Previous roles include colorectal surgeon at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand and an ANZTBCRS Colorectal Fellow at Western Health and The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Simon's educational background includes a Master of Medical Science in Surgery from the University of Otago and FRACS in General Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, among other qualifications.
