Joe Wilson

Joe Wilson's work experience includes a variety of roles in software development, engineering, and data management.

Joe started their career in 2004 as a Systems Analyst at Ecast, where they managed database ingestion processes and performed data analysis. Joe also developed SQL and SSRS reports and managed a team responsible for content management.

In 2011, Joe joined Talisman Systems Group, Inc. as a Data Analyst, programming and managing medical provider data feeds and developing back-end logic for data verification processes. Joe also handled SQL reporting for internal and external needs. Later, they became a Software Developer, working on SAAS tools for insurance industry clients and developing internal operations applications.

From 2015 to 2016, Joe worked at Revel Systems iPad POS as an API Integration Engineer. Joe managed third-party API integrations, developed enhancements/fixes on the company's REST API, and served as the technical point of contact for API and data-related inquiries.

Starting in 2016, Joe worked as an Owner/Freelance Software Developer at Wreddily, where they developed custom solutions for projects focused on APIs, data management, and web development.

In 2019, Joe joined Talisman Systems Group, Inc. again as a Senior Software Developer. Joe led the technical requirements and conducted a detailed analysis for a legacy software rebuild. Joe also served as the lead SQL Database Designer for a newly built codebase.

Most recently, Joe has been working at Canvas Medical since 2022. Joe holds the position of Senior Software Engineer/Team Lead, responsible for leading an engineering team working on Lab API integrations, scheduling, questionnaires, and other areas within the Canvas EMR platform. Joe also provides guidance to team members and is involved in feature development and integrations.

Joe Wilson obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from UC Santa Barbara, where they studied from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended UC Irvine from 1999 to 2001, focusing on Music Performance with a concentration in Trumpet.
