Mitchell Ratisher has extensive work experience in software engineering and consulting. Mitchell currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at Cape Analytics since November 2018. Before that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Google from August 2014 to June 2017, where they played a significant role in developing a prototype application for satellite imagery analytics. Prior to Google, Mitchell worked at Skybox Imaging as a Senior Software Engineer from September 2011 to August 2014, leading the development of a platform for managing imagery and image processing workflows. Mitchell also contributed to the open-source project, MR4C, which enables native image processing algorithms to be run at scale on a Hadoop cluster. Mitchell also worked as a Consultant for their previous employer, Shutterfly, from January 2011 to September 2011, providing periodic consulting services while focusing on personal development outside of work. Mitchell served as an Engineering Manager and Senior Software Engineer at Shutterfly from August 2004 to December 2010. Before that, Mitchell worked as an Independent Consultant from December 2001 to August 2004 and as a System Architect at 123Signup from January 2000 to August 2001.
Mitchell Ratisher attended Cornell University from 1988 to 1992, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. After completing their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at Arizona State University from 1994 to 1998. During this time, they earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
