Shannon Northorp

Shannon Northorp is an experienced grant writer with a strong background in law enforcement funding. Currently serving as a Grant Writer at Cape Coral Police Department since February 2015, Shannon identifies funding opportunities and manages the entire solicitation and award process, including application creation, program oversight, and compliance. Prior experience includes serving as Grants Coordinator at Fort Myers Police Department from 2007 to January 2015, where responsibilities encompassed researching and applying for grants, as well as overseeing their implementation. Additionally, Shannon acted as Citizen Police Academy Coordinator, educating the community on law enforcement operations. Previous roles include Accountability Board Coordinator at Lee County Human Services and Juvenile Probation Officer at the Department of Juvenile Justice. Shannon holds a B.A. in Criminology from the University of South Florida and an Associate of Arts in Criminology from Edison State College, with further studies at Barry University.
