Solan Israel-Megerssa

Solan Israel-Megerssa is a software engineer currently working at Capella Space since September 2020, focusing on constellation tasking and scheduling. Prior experience includes roles as a software engineer at Ascent Robotics, Inc., and significant contributions as a systems integration and test researcher at MIT Space Systems Lab, where independent research on NASA’s OSIRIS-REX spacecraft instrument was conducted. Additional experiences include internships at Northrop Grumman, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the MIT Man Vehicle Lab, where Solan developed applications and tools to enhance engineering and testing processes. Solan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completed in 2018.
