Dwayne Symonds

Dwayne has over 30 years of experience in surface mining operations covering both hard rock and soft rock, having held various senior leadership positions with mine owners and contractors throughout Australia, Asia Pacific, and African regions. He has proven success in developing greenfield and optimizing brownfield open pit mining operations, undertaking large-scale mine site infrastructure projects, and developing national employees to replace expatriate roles.

Dwayne has held roles including Project Director for Theiss Australia JV in Botswana, Operations Manager for Theiss Indonesia looking after large-scale coal mining contracts, Mine Manager for Newcrest at its Lihir Gold Mine in PNG, and Mine Manager for PanAust in Laos, as well as consulting roles in Laos and Vietnam.
