Michael Kersten

Michael Kersten is an experienced real estate appraiser and consultant with a professional background that spans over two decades. Currently, Michael serves as the Regional Chief Appraiser, Senior Appraiser, and Appraiser at Capital Farm Credit since March 2018, contributing to the largest rural lending cooperative in Texas. Prior to this role, Michael held positions at Duff & Phelps as a Senior Associate from April 2015 to March 2018, after joining through the acquisition of American Appraisal, where Michael worked as a Senior Consultant in the Tangible Assets Practice from April 2011 to April 2015. Michael began an independent appraisal venture in 1998, specializing in commercial real estate, after working as a Valuation Consultant with American Appraisal Associates from 1996 to 1998. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University.
