Dirk Weibel

Dirk Weibel is a Lead Software Engineer and Software Architect at Capital One, where duties include serving as a technical lead on an agile team and implementing the orchestration layer in Java and Spring while creating and consuming RESTful services. Prior experience includes contract software development for Capital One, focusing on the rewrite of a cloud-native consumer credit card website, as well as roles as a Java Delivery Analyst at Apex Systems and a Sr. Programmer/Analyst at Ferguson Enterprises, where Dirk designed and implemented SOA services and contributed to a high-volume customer-facing web application. Additionally, Dirk served as an adjunct instructor at ECPI College of Technology, teaching various programming languages and networking. Dirk holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information Science from Christopher Newport University.
