Matthew Cooper

Matt Cooper serves as the General Counsel at Capital One, leading the Legal Department as a member of the CEO's Executive Committee. With extensive experience in various executive roles within the Legal Department, Matt has also held senior positions at companies such as Genworth and GE Capital. Prior to their corporate career, Matt worked in commercial litigation at law firms and as a judicial law clerk. Matt holds a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and a BA with High Honors in Government and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
