Danita Jones

Danita Jones has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as the Executive Director of Professional Learning at Capital Preparatory Charter Schools since October 2015, where responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of onboarding and professional development. Jones has also held the position of Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, managing the district’s curriculum and instruction programs, and previously served as the Founding Principal of Capital Prep Harlem Charter School, emphasizing academic excellence and community engagement. Other notable roles include co-founding The Human Experience Orlando, where efforts included curriculum design and public relations management, and a teaching background that includes being named Teacher of the Year during the 2011-2012 academic year. Danita Jones holds multiple degrees, including a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Virginia State University, and has been actively involved in professional speaking and community engagement initiatives within the education sector.
