Omar Sharieff, CISSP, PMP, CSM

Omar Sharieff has an extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and project management. Omar is currently serving as the Director of Cyber Threat Intelligence at Capital Solutions Group (CSG) since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Technology Officer for Cyber & Engineering at Mission Technologies, a division of HII from December 2021 to December 2022.

From 2018 to 2021, Omar worked as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at HII Technical Solutions, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries. Before that, they served as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at G2, Inc. from June 2014 to December 2018.

In 2013, they held the position of Director of Global Training Services at Hexis Cyber Solutions, Inc. (a KEYW company). From 2010 to 2013, they worked as a Technical PM/Senior Systems Engineer at KeyW Corporation.

Omar's career began in 1998 when they started working at SAIC as a Hardware/ISSE/Systems Engineer. Omar held this position until April 2010.

Omar Sharieff, CISSP, PMP, CSM, holds an MBA in International Business from Loyola University Maryland, which they obtained between 2004 and 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University in 2004. Their undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, completed between 1994 and 1999. In addition to their formal education, Omar has obtained several certifications. Omar became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in April 2009 through (ISC)². In October 2014, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Omar also holds the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance, earned in February 2019. Furthermore, they completed a Machine Learning certification on Coursera in April 2019.
