Malcolm Day has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Malcolm started their career in 2002 at The Brick, where they worked as a Business/Programmer Analyst, providing BI and reporting solutions for multiple departments. Malcolm also played a role in the deployment of Cognos 8 BI and conducted trainings on BI tools.

In 2008, Malcolm joined FGL Sports Ltd as a Business Analyst, where they expedited BI team deliverables, gathered requirements for operational reports, and documented requirements for a payroll system upgrade. Malcolm also took on the role of Financial Analyst, contributing to budgeting processes and compiling environmental footprint reports. Malcolm later became a Systems Analyst, supporting the BI team, gathering report requirements, and participating in QA efforts.

Malcolm became the President of Air Testing Plus Inc in 2009, where they oversaw the operations of the company. Malcolm then returned to The Brick in 2011 as a Business Analyst/Data/QA Analyst, gathering requirements for data management and migration projects, and managing the QA and UAT process.

From 2013 to 2016, Malcolm worked at Design Group Staffing as a Business Analyst, contributing to CRM/ATS implementation projects and process transformation projects.

In 2017, they joined Design Group Staffing again as a Business Analyst and continued in this role until 2018.

Malcolm's experience also includes roles at Sherritt International Corporation as a Reporting Analyst, Quality Sleep Care as a Business Process and Systems Consultant, and CannaMedTec as a Business/BI Analyst.

Most recently, Malcolm joined Capital Power in 2019 as a Business Analyst, and later transitioned into the role of Business Intelligence Professional in early 2020.

Malcolm Day completed their Bachelor of Commerce in Management Science at the University of Alberta from 1999 to 2003. In 2003, they also studied International Business at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business). Later, in 2013 to 2014, they obtained a BA Citation in Business Analyst from the University of Alberta. Furthermore, Malcolm has acquired several certifications, including Azure Data Studio Essential Training, SQL Server Integration Services, Supporting Your Mental Health While Working from Home, and a Business Analysis Citation from the University of Alberta in February 2013. These certifications were obtained between 2013 and 2020.
