Ed Harden has had a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Ed started their career in 1996 as a Sales Director at Physicians Health Plan, where they were in charge of driving new business sales and developing advertising campaigns. In 2001, they moved to Priority Health as a Senior Sales Manager, responsible for achieving new business goals and overseeing agent sales distribution. Ed then founded their own company, Harden Benefit Solutions, in 2004, providing businesses with healthcare cost and benefit design management solutions. In 2006, they joined McLaren Health Plan as the VP of Sales and Marketing, where they were accountable for all sales and marketing functions and the design and implementation of sales strategies. In 2014, they became the President of Capitol National Bank. Additionally, Ed served on the Board of Directors at Summit Community Bank of Michigan from 2002 to 2014.
Ed Harden obtained their Bachelor's degree in Communications/Public Address from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which they pursued from 1980 to 1986. In addition, they earned a certification as a Certified Healthcare Consultant from Purdue University and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association in April 1993.
