Amy Karwan

Amy Karwan is an accomplished education leader with extensive experience spanning various roles in both K-12 education and policy analysis. Currently serving as the Director of the CREC Resource Group since April 2018, Amy has previously held significant positions including Chief of Turnaround for Southbridge Public Schools, where successful turnaround initiatives and substantial funding enhancements were implemented. As Executive Director at The College Board from 2010 to 2016, Amy managed outreach and professional learning for K-12 educators related to the SAT Suite of Assessments and developed a substantial portfolio of educational resources. Prior roles include key leadership positions at Stamford Public Schools, New York City Department of Education, MDRC, and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. Amy holds a Master of Public Policy in Education Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French from James Madison University.
