VP Clinical Development At Capsida Biotherapeutics at Capsida Biotherapeutics

Melanie Brandabur currently serves as the VP of Clinical Development at Capsida Biotherapeutics, a role commenced in May 2024. Prior to this, Melanie held the position of Senior Medical Director in Global Clinical Development at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. from December 2014 to May 2024, focusing on the development of clinical trials for therapies targeting rare diseases. Melanie has extensive experience in the medical field, having served as a Movement Disorders Neurologist at the UCSF Movement Disorders Department from September 2015 to September 2019 and as Clinic Director at The Parkinson's Institute from July 2006 to November 2014, where oversight included managing a multidisciplinary team and conducting numerous clinical trials. Additionally, Melanie was the Medical Director of the Parkinson's Clinic at Alexian Brothers Medical Center and previously held the Medical Director role at the Parkinson's Disease Program at the University of Illinois. Educational qualifications include an MD from Rush Medical College and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
