Nick Goeden

Nick Goeden, PhD has extensive work experience in the biotech and academic sectors. Nick is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Capsida Biotherapeutics, a position they have held since November 2021. Before that, they were the Co-founder and Vice President of Technology at the same company from March 2019 to November 2021. In these roles, they were responsible for strategic planning, execution of scientific and manufacturing strategies, and leading financing and partnering efforts. Nick played a key role in transforming the company from an academic institution to a pre-clinical stage biotech with a robust therapeutic pipeline.

Prior to their work at Capsida Biotherapeutics, Dr. Goeden worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Caltech from February 2017 to October 2019 and as a PhD Candidate at USC Neuroscience from August 2012 to February 2017. Nick also gained experience as a Research Specialist III at the Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute from November 2009 to August 2012. Additionally, they had teaching and administrative responsibilities as a Teaching and Administrative Assistant at Caltech from September 2008 to March 2009.
