Jay Matthes

Jay Matthes currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Capstone Advisors, a position held since September 2021. Prior to this role, Matthes was the Executive Vice President of Retail Asset Management at American Realty Advisors from June 2014 to September 2021, where leadership of the National Retail Asset Management Group was provided. Matthes also held the position of Managing Director at Capital Advisors & Realty, LLC from 2011 to June 2014, offering advisory services on a range of real estate-related issues. Previous experience includes roles as Director of Asset Management at Grosvenor Investment Management, U.S. (2003-2011), Vice President at ING Clarion (2000-2003), and General Manager at LaSalle Partners (Jones Lang LaSalle) (1995-2000). Matthes began a career in the U.S. Navy, serving as a Lieutenant in the Civil Engineer Corps from 1985 to 1992. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance & International Business from Columbia Business School and a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
