João Guilherme Araújo Schimidt

João Guilherme Araújo Schimidt, CGA, PhD, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in venture capital and corporate innovation. Currently serving as Diretor de Gestão de Investimentos and Venture Capital Fund Manager at CapSur Capital since June 2021, João focuses on investment selection and analysis for high-growth companies in the series A+ phase. Previous roles include Head Of Innovation at FUSP, Business Growth Consultant at Stracta Consultoria, and Venture Capital Manager at Pecege, where strategic planning and coordination of projects were central responsibilities. João holds a PhD in Economics, a Master’s degree in Finance, and has participated in MBA programs, all from USP, alongside an educational tenure at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
